2. ON HAPPINESS ______________________________________________________ The Dalai lama has a simple belief. That ALL human beings (including sentient beings) want happiness and do not want suffering. He believes that happiness comes from happiness, not hatred or anger. So how do we get there? Through kindness, mutual understanding, and through mutual respect which will bring us peace and harmony. The practice of kindness is very, very important. We don’t need temples, monasteries, images, etc., we just simply need to practice kindness on ourselves and others.
