Grow Your Business With Tips Booklets

  1. Create an informational tips booklet as a marketing tool, a new source of revenue, or both. A booklet gives you author status with less time, money, and stress to create than writing a book. It is often a longer lasting and more effective promotional piece than the best marketing brochure.

  2. Write out those 'sound bites' you are forever telling your clients and audiences. Organize the tips into the most likely categories for your specialty. Create one booklet or a series of booklets.

  3. Keep your booklet small in size, number of pages, and length of copy. Less is more in drawing your buyers to you.

  4. Consider additional formats for that one booklet manuscript. Print it as a booklet, record it as an audio or video tape, develop it into daily reminder cards, use a tip per day on a calendar.

  5. Plan the sales distribution in as many ways as you can. Some sales will be through publicity excerpts in print and online publications. Other sales will be directly to buyers in large quantities. You may even license reprint rights for very large quantities of booklets, or license your information into other languages and other formats.

  6. Notice how products balance out the service side of your business. Booklets are a good match for a client's budget when they cannot afford or are not ready to purchase your consulting or speaking services, or as a value added to your consulting or speaking services.
